Getting started
The first time you launch AccuGo, you'll be asked whether you want to create an account, sign in to an existing one, or use the app offline. You can change your mind later from More → Sign In.
First launch
On opening the app for the first time, AccuGo presents three choices:
- Create Account — A four-step prompt collects your email address (twice) and a password (twice). You'll be sent a welcome email and immediately signed in.
- Existing Account — Sign in with the email and password you already have. If you don't remember the password, the failure dialog has a Reset button that sends a reset link to your email.
- Use Offline — Skip the account entirely. Your records live only on this device and aren't backed up. You can sign in later from the More tab and your offline data will be uploaded into your new account.
Why sign in?
An account gives you two things: automatic backup so you don't lose your data if your phone breaks, and sync between devices (for example, between an iPhone and an iPad). Nothing is shared with other users unless you explicitly mark a food as shared with the community.
The four tabs
AccuGo's main screen is a tab bar with four tabs at the bottom:
- Today (the home tab)
- The daily tracking view. Lists everything you've eaten on the selected date with a running summary at the top. Tap a calendar icon to jump to any other date. See Tracking your day.
- Search
- Search your own food list. Tap a result to add it to today (or to the date you currently have selected). See Search.
- History
- A chart of the last 30 days plus a scrollable list of daily totals. Scroll the table to load older history, and tap the email icon to send the visible window to your dietitian. See History.
- More
- Configure individuals, settings, email food records, help, sign in / sign out, send feedback, and (carefully) delete your account.
Privacy in one paragraph
Your food list, daily entries, and individual names sync only between devices on your own account. They are not visible to other AccuGo users. The community database (Search → Community) only contains foods you explicitly chose to share by toggling the Share with Community switch when creating a food. More detail on the privacy page.
