Tracking your day

The first tab is your daily log. Everything you've eaten on the selected date appears here, grouped by time, with running totals at the top.

The summary banner

At the top of the daily view, the summary banner shows the day's totals for the nutrients you're currently tracking. The exact values shown depend on your tracking mode:

Exchanges are only shown if you've set a non-zero Exchange Size in Settings and your tracking mode supports them (see Settings).

Switching dates

The toolbar includes left/right arrows for moving day-by-day and a calendar button that opens a month view. Pick any date to jump to it. A Today button is available in the calendar view to bring you back to the current date.

Adding an entry

Tap the + button in the toolbar to add an entry. The new entry screen lets you:

The nutrient values (phenylalanine, methionine, protein, calories) are pulled from your food list or community database. If the food doesn't exist yet, you'll be taken to the food editor to define it โ€” see Foods and units.

Editing an existing entry

Tap any row in the daily list to open the entry editor. From there you can change the quantity, unit, time, or any of the nutrient overrides for that specific meal. Saving recalculates the day's summary.

Copy, move, and delete

Long-press or use the Edit mode in the daily view to select one or more rows. With one or more entries selected, the toolbar offers:

Copy
Duplicates the selected entries to another date (you'll be prompted to pick the destination from a calendar). The original entries stay where they are.
Move
Same destination prompt as Copy, but removes the entries from the source date once they're added to the destination.
Delete
Permanently removes the selected entries after a confirmation prompt. Deleted entries are tombstoned and will also be removed from any other device synced to your account on the next sync.

Refreshing data

Pull down on the daily list to manually refresh. AccuGo also syncs in the background when the app becomes active and when it goes to the background. On PKU, the iOS background-refresh task keeps your data fresh between sessions.

Time grouping

Entries are grouped under section headers by time. The granularity of the grouping is set by Time Grouping in Settings โ€” anywhere from 1 minute to "Meals and Snacks". A larger setting collapses entries eaten close together into a single section.

Tip

Switching to Meals and Snacks grouping is helpful if you tend to log lots of small items: the day's view becomes much easier to scan because the app figures out meal boundaries from the gaps between entries.
